The snow crunches beneath my feet,
As I walk down the street.
My apology I must give,
I only hope He can forgive.
This was all my fault,
With my words I launched an assault.
On this snowy day,
For His forgiveness I pray.
He gave me this beautiful scene,
Yet I was so mean.
I drop to my knees in the snow,
As my apology begins to flow.
For His mercy I ask,
So that in His glory I may bask.

*** I used the NaPoWriMo prompt for today. For this prompt, we were to write an ekphrastic poem. For this day, it was to be a poem about a picture. I somewhat managed to do this using the above photo. This was also my first ever poem with a religious theme. It was not meant to go in that direction; it just ended up in that direction. ***
